Coral Reefs are cool, but visualizing them with data science is even cooler. We wrote a python script to create an interactive map that contains almost one million coral reef entries worldwide. Coral reefs are disappearing at dangerous rates, which is why we want to help raise awareness about them.

About Us
How you can help
Every year, the coral reef ecosystems all over our ocean are depleting due to the effects of global warming. It is estimated that over the past 30 years around 50% of the world coral reefs have died. By the end of the twenty-first century, that percentage is estimated to raise over 90%.
This is extremely morbid, especially since it is almost impossible to "revive" a coral reef. However, while we cannot reverse our negative impacts on our oceans, we can still try to slow down change. Currently, there are hundreds of non profits which work to clean our oceans and fight against climate change.
Our contribution is simple but effective. We, using DeSo, a decentralized social network for crypto and NFTs, created a crypto which we named "Save the Seas." All transactions made with this crypto will donate the tax fee to a plethora of ocean based non profits, including, but not exclusive to, Oceana, The Ocean Conservancy, and Project AWARE Foundation. The support button below will take you directly to our page on DeSo, where you can buy "Save the Seas" coin.
